Onward and upward – let’s GET IT…

This week I painted and fixed the closet bifold doors, because two doors are better than one. I chose a nice, bright, white paint color for the doors, Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.

Coming along…

Bifold doors can be finicky. Mine kept coming off the track – super annoying. These doors have pegs, one peg on the bottom of the door and one on the top. Sometimes the pegs get pushed into the door a bit and you just need to twist them back out and make sure they’re firmly in their tracks. It took the One Room Challenge for me to twist two pegs and end my droopy doors.

Master Bedroom Makeover – One Room Challenge Week 2:

Things I completed this week…

  • Fixed and painted the bifold doors – Chantilly Lace, Benjamin Moore
  • Bought this easy care, washable STUNNING green velvet duvet set.

  • Got these blackout curtains I’ve been eyeing. They’re gorgeous and I cannot even believe how well they actually DO block out the light! Looky here:

(BEST blackout curtains I’ve ever owned)
  • Installed the one bamboo roman shade that’s been waiting to be hung for years. This bamboo roman shade below is very similar to what I have, but even better since it has no cords.

This vignette gives the illusion that the room is complete. lol Don’t look behind me though. #disaster MUCH left to do…

This week’s to-do list:

  • Search for a desk and chair for the wall opposite the bed
  • Picture frame molding on the wall behind the bed??
  • Need to install hooks
  • Check out interesting hampers
  • Look for midcentury-type ceiling fan
  • Steam the drapes

Time to stop typing and start moving on this week’s list. Subscribe and check back weekly HERE on the Home and Darlings blog!
